James Sanders, Violin
James maintains an active schedule as an Jazz Violinist, Orchestral Violinist, Soloist, Arranger/Composer. In addition to performing gypsy jazz wih Swing Gitan. James is a regular member of The Chicago Sinfonietta, The Ravinia Festival Orchestra and the Jofferey Ballet Orchestra. He also performs with New Quartet under the direction of Doug Lofstrom, world music ensemble Lingua Musica and leads his own latin jazz ensemble Conjunto.
Conjunto performs regularly in jazz venues throughout Chicago. Conjunto has been recognized for the Album “Live In Little Village” released 3 years ago and has just released it’s second album Chicago Sessions with special guest Alfonso Ponticelli. Both albums where produced by James on his own Amadeo label as well as Minstrels, Amadeo Records first product a CD featuring a Jazz serenade with the James Sanders Trio.
James Sanders has recieved his master degree in Violin Performance from Yale University School of Music and his principal teachers include Sister M. Imelda, Sidney Harth and Albert Igolnikov.
